Hi again, here's my POV of what happened in 2011. This time I'm including meeting new friends (at work), but not about work.
January 2011 - Its the start of a new year. No work yet as I continued to get used to my iPad I bought last month.
February 2011 - Beginning of another work assignment, where I reunited with a friend and former college classmate and its Chinese New Year (my zodiac - the rabbit).
March 2011 - Japan has gotten a terrible earthquake and tsunami while I gained new friends, mostly guys at the end of the month.
April 2011 - I went to a bistro restaurant to celebrate my close friends birthday while my desktop computer encounters another problem (the Windows Recovery virus).
May/June 2011 - Began to listen to some new k-pop/j-pop songs to put on my iPod.
July 2011 - Went shopping on Canada Day and July 23. I tried Korean bbq at a restaurant with co-workers/friends (July 27) and watched the finale of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows part 2 (July 17)
August 2011 - My close friend visits me on the Civic Holiday weekend. This was the month where my work assignment ends (August 10). My friends/now former co-workers and I celebrated the last day by eating out at Jack Astors. Experienced another earthquake near the end of the month. The leader of the opposition in federal Canadian politics (Jack Layton) lost his battle with cancer. In my opinion, he would have become prime minister, if he was still alive. The whole country mourned for his passing including messages written at City Hall. My job hunt resumes and no work for the remainder of the summer, but I managed to get a new laptop and use Skype for the first time.
September 2011 - The US Open (tennis) is on in NYC and the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks takes place. The new WTC (1 World Trade Center) is still under construction while the water memorial (showcasing the footprint of the former twin towers) has officially opened. What's so unique about it, it has the names of the victims that were killed in the attacks. If I go to NYC sometime, I would like to see it for myself. I went to ground zero back in 2002 (nearly 11 months after the attack happened). A lot of new TV shows are airing including "The X Factor." Simon is back. The show I can't wait to see is "The Amazing Race" and I heard that Jeanna and Ethan (winners of Survivor Africa and Amazon) are participating. At the end the month, there was some good news. I not only have another work assignment, I have gained a bf (met at the last work assignment). Its official (virtually), but not in person yet. There might be some disagreements (from family), but nonetheless, I'll take my time to adapt to this change in my life.
October 2011 - Beginning to get used to my latest work assignment. Nothing special. Just before the Thanksgiving weekend, the iPhone 4S was introduced. Some are disappointed that it wasn't the iPhone 5. There are a few changes including an updated camera and an assistant. I'm not sure if I'm getting one before Christmas since I'm familiar with my iPad. The day after the iPhone 4 S was introduced, the co-founder of Apple, Steve Jobs died. It was so sudden. Without him, we wouldn't be using the latest tech devices that we use today. He was an inspiration to all.
December 2011 - My birthday and my iPad turns 1 years old. I end the year by traveling to the Philippines because my aunt is getting married and I'm one of the bridesmaids there. Since my cousins/relatives will be hogging the computer while I'm there, I might have to use the 'Notes' app on my iPad to make my vacation blog.
My vacay blog has the rest on what to say for the end of this year. That's all for now.
